Description

Plant-based Prevention Of Disease (P-POD, found at p-pod.org), through conferences focused on nutrition, lifestyle, health equity and chronic disease reduction, offers continuing education to physicians, nurses, dietitians, Lifestyle Medicine practitioners and other healthcare professionals and educators, while students and the public are always welcome.  Our 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has throughout its past 50+ conference days and 300+ accredited continuing education hours, accepted zero commercial sponsorship, funding or influence.

In our 2026 conference series, each of the
SEVEN days (see SCHEDULE at the bottom here) is offered as a virtual livestream, but the Saturday-Sunday June 6-7 ones have an Atlanta GA in-person option.  In registering, you may choose or combine any single days, or else get price breaks on certain conference-days bundles of two to five days.

Medical residents also do qualify for Student registration.  Note that our low-price Public and Student type registrations do not include the continuing education credit certificates that healthcare professionals would need.

If you need any further information before registering, please use these short-cut addresses:

Agenda.p-pod.org:  Shows full AGENDAS with all speakers and topics for EACH of our 7 days.

CE.p-pod.org:  Shows the multiple kinds of continuing education credits offered.  Note also that as always, all our days are APPROVED for all ABLM/ACLM uses, from exam prerequisite Event CME to Diplomate Maintenance.

Core.p-pod.org:  Shows our unique innovative curriculum of 15 Core Topic Areas that are always covered during our conferences.

Discounts.p-pod.org:  Shows 10% DISCOUNTS available for certain Physicians or Other Professionals using promo codes during registration.  PLEASE NOTE that during online registration in 2026, these promo codes do NOT get used while you are choosing your days and tickets.  They only get submitted during your final checkout, where the question "have a promotional code?" appears below the "Total" line for your order's dollars.  If you type in your qualifying code there, it removes 10% from each Physicians or Other Professionals ticket amount you had, but not from the $2 outside charges added to each ticket.

Register.p-pod.org:  Conveniently shows all 2026 PRICES at-a-glance as well as routing you to any other supporting information you may need in order to register..

Why.p-pod.org:  Lists numerous ways in which our nonprofit and conferences are unique.

Plant-based Prevention Of Disease

The national nonprofit Plant-based Prevention Of Disease (P-POD) conferences provide an evidence-based look at how plant-based eating patterns and allied lifestyle measures may reduce the risks of society’s major preventable diseases.  P-POD offers guidance about how nutritional advisement and lifestyle medicine, along with attention to health equity, may be integrated into the work of the entire health care team.  While welcoming the public, P-POD offers accredited continuing education to a very wide variety of health professionals.  P-POD accepts no funding or influence from commercial sources, and is committed to maintaining affordable event admission fees so that a broad diverse spectrum of attendees may participate.
