Description

Plant-based Prevention Of Disease provides affordable nonprofit continuing education (CE) in nutrition to physicians, nurses, dietitians, other professionals, students and the public.  At our 2020 national conference near Detroit's international airport, all 18-hour or 14-hour registrations include vegan meals starting with their stated opening times.  Besides full attendance, there are registration options for skipping Friday altogether, or else for adding 2 more educational hours combined with optional Friday lunch (so that 20 CE credits can be earned)   There is also an option to attend at minimal cost, without continuing education credits, the 4-hour Saturday afternoon community session only.  Affordable walking-distance housing for the event may be booked here if needed.  Thursday night through Sunday night housing options are possible.

The annual national nonprofit Plant-based Prevention Of Disease (P-POD) conference provides an evidence-based look at how plant-based eating patterns may reduce the risks of society’s major preventable diseases, and guidance about how nutritional advisement may be integrated into the work of the entire health care team. While welcoming the public, P-POD offers accredited continuing education to a very wide variety of health professionals. P-POD accepts no funding or influence from commercial sources, and is committed to maintaining affordable event admission fees so that a broad diverse spectrum of attendees may participate.
